Olympiacos Chicago Shines in Italy: U8s Bring Home the YES! Cup Trophy

Milan, Italy – Olympiacos Chicago made a proud international mark this past week, competing in the prestigious Yes! Cup with three youth teams—U8, U9, and U10. The tournament, hosted in Milan, Italy and featuring top-tier academies from across Europe, was a true test of skill, determination, and sportsmanship for our teams.

Among the standout performances, our U8 team brought home the championship trophy, capping off an unforgettable journey filled with memories. The level of competition across all age brackets was exceptionally high, with every match demanding focus and resilience. Our players rose to the occasion and then some.

The Road to Victory for our U8s: A Perfect Run

  • Game 1: Olympiacos Chicago 5 – 4 ARESE (Italy)
    A thrilling opener saw our boys come from behind and seal the win in dramatic fashion at the dying moments of the game.
  • Game 2: Olympiacos Chicago 6 – 0 MIRABELLO (Italy)
    A dominant display of teamwork and clinical finishing set the tone for what was to come for our U8s.
  • Game 3: Olympiacos Chicago 6 – 1 CB ACADEMY (Italy)
    With momentum building, the U8s  played with confidence and creativity, securing a well-earned semifinal spot.
  • Semifinal: Olympiacos Chicago 4 – 0 SANTI MARTIRI (England)
    A disciplined and balanced performance from our U8s paved the way to the finals.
  • Final: Olympiacos Chicago 3 – 2 TOP 11 FOOTBALL ACADEMY (Cyprus)
    The championship match was a nail-biter against a physical and technically skilled opponent. Our boys showed tremendous heart, edging out the Cypriot team to claim the trophy.
