The Olympiacos Chicago U19 Red Plainfield team captured the US Club Soccer National Cup Title this past week with a 3–0 win over GPS NH 00 NPL (New Hampshire) in the Under 19 Boys Super Group (most competitive) final on Tuesday, July 24th.  After having 2 wins and 1 tie in group play at the Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado, Olympiacos Chicago was the top seed from their group heading into the final.

Overall at the National Cup Finals, Olympiacos Chicago U19 Red ended up with 3 wins and 1 tie – while outscoring their opponents 10–3 over the course of five days.  On their way to claiming the National Championship, they recorded a victory over FC Florida Prep Academy (Florida), GPS MA 99 Elite White (Massachusetts) and a tie with TFA S E La Barca (California) before knocking off GPS NH 00 NPL (New Hampshire) in the final.

The National Cup Championship capped off an incredible season for this group of boys, after being crowned Champions at five tournaments/showcases/divisions (US Club NISL Illinois Cup, Libertyville Cup, NIKE College Showcase, SLSG College Showcase, and Chicago Indoor League) throughout the season.

The game numbers are very impressive for this group considering the level of play (top flights) in all competitions. The team played 39 games (33 wins, 3 loses, 3 ties), scored 137 goals (3.5 goals per game) and gave up 35 (.89 goals per game).
